Jon-Paul Gates, UK actor and filmmaker, wakes up in the wilderness, confused, bloodied and injured. Although he would like to know how, why and who put him there, his immediate concern is finding help and getting to safety. He's cold, thirsty, hungry and as a minimum has sustained a right leg injury. Jon-Paul hobbles, using the forest's flora and fauna to help him, but unfortunately he cannot find an easy way out. Over the next fortnight, though, we see Jon-Paul getting stronger as his injuries heal: finding abandoned clothes, digging for water, creating 'bowdrills'', fires for warmth and to cook his latest "kills" , climbing trees to navigate and building shelters that even Bear Grylls himself would be proud of! Eventually, exhausted and undernourished, he gets to safety!
